The City of Cluj-Napoca was a warm welcoming host of the championships. The experienced local organisers from Romanian Futnet Association ensured, that everything was perfectly prepared for the competition and that the teams had all necessary comfort, so that they could perform the best of futnet.
Czech Republic collected all 3 gold medals in U21 Men’s category, Slovakia brought home 2 silvers, national team of Romania earned 1 silver and two bronze medals and finally Hungary got 1 bronze medal in this category.
Women’s categoryoffered a similar situation. Czech team confirmed its stable quality and won gold medals in doubles and triples and a bronze medal in singles. Second most successful coutry was Hungary, led by phenomenal Boglárka Lepsényi (1 gold, 2 silvers). Switzerland is getting better with every tournament and this time it was silver medal for Cathrine Striebel in singles. And finally Slovakia, though short-handed due to absence of some key players, earned bronze medals in doubles and triples.
UNIF President Kamil Kleník as well as most of the team representatives had only words of praise and gratitude for the local organisers. „It’s actions, not words, that matter,“ said Kleník after the championships as a manifestation of respect to Organising Committee. Romania thus confirmed its dedication to futnet and UNIF and we are happy to have them on board.
