Doubles: Swiss Women Go Directly to Semifinals

Swiss national team players are very skilled and improve with every year of training and comeptition. They showed their improvement in group B and won against both Romania and Slovakia. Category U21 Men without bigger surpises.

Czech team won both matches in basic group A. Hungary was a tough opponent, but doubles are Czech specialty and even excellent smashes of Boglárka Lepsényi were not accurate enough to beat the Czech double. Poland performed well in both matches and though they still have much to learn, their coach Michal Klosinski  prepared his apprentices very well. One or two years of training and Poland will definitely be a great team.

Group B was literally a thriller. Switzerland came to Cluj very well prepared and beat Slovak double in three sets and Romanian couple in two sets. Direct advancement to semifinal is a well deserved reward for hard work of Switzerland. Romanian women lost their match against Slovakia and thus placed as 3rd in the basic group B.

Slovakia then won their quarterfinal match against Poland (11:3, 11:6) and Hungary was more successful in the battle with the home team of Romania.
